Boston Police report a teen attempted to use "a large gun" to hold up an older couple walking on Fulton Street near the tunnel to 170 Commercial St. around 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Instead of handing over a wallet, they attempted to escape, police say. The kid fired the gun at the ground - slightly injuring the woman when a bullet fragment entered her shoe - then ran away himself.

He's described as 5'7", slim build, skinny face, between 15 and 20, possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern. He was wearing a red hoody.
