We need to stop the violence.

You ain't never lied. We need to stop the violence and it needs to begin at home. We have to let our kids know that what is going on right now is unacceptable and it needs to end. Whatever happened to the good old days and the old school communities where we all knew each other, respected each other and helped take care of each other? That's what respect is all about - it's community wide and not an individual thing. When I was a kid I would NEVER even think about being disrespectful towards an adult, but the kids today don't even respect themselves . . . they really don't care and it really shows. There is such a disregard for life it's really pitiful.
