He says, she says, but with witnesses

Boston Police say that when officers arrived at the scene of a fight outside the Old Hancock Building around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, they found: Two women claiming a man tried to beat them up and the man, claiming the women beat him up.

They looked at the smooth, unbroken skin of the ladies and the cuts and scratches on the man's face, talked to witnesses and began to suspect the women were making things up and that they had, in fact, jumped the guy and kicked and punched him just like he claimed. At which point:

... One of the suspects stated, "I hope your wife gets beat up." Officers noted that both of the suspects appeared to be intoxicated with slurred speech, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol emanating from their persons. ...

So it was off to the nearest pokey for an Allston woman and her Tenafly, NJ friend for some finger makeup and booking on assault and battery charges.
