Maybe he took the Orange Line to Back Bay

Boston Police report arresting a Roslindale man for breaking into a residence at 163 Beacon St. in the Back Bay shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday - with the help of a witness who followed the guy onto Newbury Street. Police say they recovered a laptop, a number of CDs and a screwdriver.

Over in Dorchester, meanwhile, police say a woman politely said "let me get your earings," before robbing another woman of an earring and a cellphone yesterday afternoon at 330 Bowdoin St. The suspect was only charged with unarmed robbery, so presumably the earring was not actually in the victim's ear.
