Shot to death in Dorchester

Bernard White, 38, shot repeatedly around 4:30 p.m. at 68 Bowdoin Ave., pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center.

This is Dorchester's twelfth murder this year; the first since March 19.

It's 7:30 PM. Why hasn't the BPD identified this man? If they know he's 38, they know his name.

That is the usual reason for temporarily withholding the name of a murder victim.
