My deepest condolences go out to the Troncoso family. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sooo sorry for your loss.

To Luis, I will always remember the times we spent talking together in my office and hoopin'-it-up at Curtis...you were a beast on the hard wood!!! I really wish things would have turned out different you man. We will always miss you.

My heart also strongly goes out to Luis's friends. I know you dudes are really hurting and drunk with revenge right now, but please...enough of our young brothers and sisters have been needlessly taken away from us by death and the prison system. Don't get me wrong...be angry!!! I know I am!!! However, instead of more violence toward our own people, let's focus our anger toward trying to make things better for ourselves and our communities. A good way to channel some of these painful feelings is by getting actively involved in a community based organization such as: The Hyde Square Task Force, Spontaneous Celebrations, or Alternatives for the Community and the Environment (A.C.E) that tries to reduce the extremely high rates of youth violence in the hood. Remember...our little brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and cousins are always watching us, and taking really good notes on how to be in the world.

-Peace
