Quick thinking fails to help alleged ladder-toting burglar

Boston Police report that a man used a ladder to try to break into a third-floor apartment at 10 Bucknam St. on Mission Hill around 10:30 Sunday night. Unfortunately for him, the occupants of the apartment were home at the time:

When the suspect entered their apartment and observed the tenants, he stated, "I'm just checking light bulbs." When the victims began yelling at him, the suspect fled the location.

But he didn't get far (no word if he fled down the ladder). Police picked up Shaun Kelly, 25, and charged him with breaking and entering a residence in the night time after the tenants ID'ed him as the same bald white guy inquiring about their light fixtures.

Hirsute until proven bald.

If I were a Super Hero, I'd be Broken Link Man, and my super power would be finding impossible ways to make links break.

And, as we used to say back in the old neighborhood, that and a token'll get you on the subway ...
