Daylight shooting in the South End

Boston Police report hearing - and then finding - a man shot repeatedly behind 604 Mass. Ave. around 4:30 p.m. yesterday. The man was taken to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Around 20 minutes later, officers found a car wanted in connection with the shooting at Madison Park Court in Roxbury, which police say helped a police dog sniff out Jeremy David Thompson, 30, of Dorchester, who was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
