People climbing down ladders at 4:30 a.m. rarely up to any good

Boston Police report that when officers spotted a man climbing down a ladder early Tuesday at 195 Faneuil St., he spotted them and fled. However, police say, he proved no match for the fleet foot of the law:

When asked to explain his actions, the suspect stated that he broke into the house in order to steal drugs. While still on scene, the victim of the breaking & entering approached officers. According to the victim, he was asleep in his bed when he was awoken by the intruder. When he jumped out of bed, the victim says the suspect began punching him. Officers observed what appeared to be a laceration over the victim's right eye.

Ian O'Hara, 28, of Brighton was then charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime and assault and battery.

Innocent, etc.
