Third party crasher sought

By adamg | Mon, 11/24/2008 - 8:11pm

The Suffolk County DA's office says a third man participated in the stabbing.

Evidence suggests that Ribeiro, Sousa, and the third alleged assailant became engaged in altercations with others during a party at 20 Dustin St. late Friday night into Saturday morning. The trio was ejected from the festivities but returned at about 4:30 a.m. through the back door of the residence.

Once inside, witnesses said, the men started a large fight that spilled out of the house and into the street. During that fight, three partygoers were stabbed, including one who was injured so badly that homicide detectives were summoned to the scene.

Officials say that man is now expected to survive.

A judge today set bail for Ribeiro and Sousa at $2,500 after they pleaded innocent at arraignment in Brighton District Court.
