Three injured in East Boston shooting
Boston Police report two were injured by bullets and one by breaking glass when a man shot into a group of people at Bremen and Prescott streets around 2:10 a.m. One of the three was taken to Mass. General with life-treatening injuries; the other two were also taken to the hospital, but with less severe wounds.
One of the victims was able to give police a description of the suspect, his car and the direction he headed after the shootings. Holvin G. Cruz, 32, of Lynn, was stapped on Chelsea Street and arrested on multiple charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder.
He was arraigned the next day and ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
