Cops quell club chaos

Boston Police report only one arrest following a melee at Jose McIntyre's around 1:25 this morning: A detail officer at the club and bar workers managed to break up a fight among 20 patrons when a couple of guys started trash talking each other outside:

The officer intervened and separated the two. At this time, a third party ran towards the officer and stated, "That's my brother" and punched the officer in the face. A violent struggle ensued between the detail officer, back-up officers and the suspect. The suspect was eventually placed into custody. The detail officer suffered a bloody lip from the incident.

Edward Guerard now faces charges of assault and battery on a police officer with injuries, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
