This ain't no party, at least, not after the cops showed up
Responding to a loud-noise complaint, Boston Police broke up what they say was an illegal after-hours club at 114 W. Selden St. in Mattapan, shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday:
Officers made their way into the basement of 114 West Selden Street and observed a male bartender serving alcoholic beverages with United States Currency being exchanged in return. An elaborate DJ system was also observed playing music at a high level.
Upon further investigation, officers learned of two individuals that were deemed responsible for organizing the illegal after-hours party. Officers seized several bottles of alcohol, various electronic DJ devices and in excess of Five-Hundred-Dollars that is believed to be proceeds from the illegal sale of alcohol.
Maurice Johnson-Morton, 22, and Maxwell Thomas, 38 were arrested on charges of hosting an unpermitted after-hours party and the illegal sale of alcohol.
