Lit stove sparks heated confrontation that ends in arrest

Boston Police report arresting a Beacon Hill man who allegedly pointed a double-barrel shotgun at his roommate as part of an ongoing argument over a stove that had been left on. Officers responded to 52 Joy St. around 1:30 this morning:

On arrival, officers met with a victim who told them that her roommate had threatened her with a shotgun. Officers then learned that the suspect and victim who are roommates had argued earlier about a stove being left on. The suspect apparently became very angry over the incident and when the victim came home she was threatened by the suspect with a firearm as she attempted to enter her apartment.

Police say they managed to get the shotgun away from Mark P. Fox, 28 - and later uncovered "numerous rounds of ammunition." Fox was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Innocent, etc.
