Young thugs gang up on guy in South Boston

Area C-6 reports a man was "assaulted and kicked by a group of 5-6 white males 17-20 years" around 1 a.m. on Saturday at K and E. 6 streets. The pack then fled on K Street toward East Broadway.

Was it the Sharks or the Jets?

Serious question

Does South Boston contribute anything positive to society?

And a wicked cool accent.

Southie

Southie really isn't that bad these days. When I lived there (~2 years ago) it seemed to be about 60% yuppies, 40% lifers (depending on area obviously). The D street projects and some other areas can be pretty shady, especially at night, and I saw some junkies/bums basically every day, but hey that's everywhere in the city really...

Whats nice is you can have a relatively large apartment for much less than downtown plus off street parking if you're lucky, plus still be right on the red line. Also, there are some nice upscale bars and restaurants, all within a good walking distance.

Oh and living within walking distance of Harpoon is awesome. Nothing like a fresh growler or 4 of some IPA.

oh and I almost forgot about Muls. Muls' homefries alone make Southie a destination...

LaTulippe's "serious question"

didn't really deserve a serious answer, but thanks for saving everyone else the trouble of pointing out that most people in this neighborhood of about 30,000 do in fact "contribute to society".

There's that race thing again

Why do they keep mentioning that the alleged assailants were white? It's a conspiracy, I tells ya.
