Police: Man attacks daughter with knife because she was on the computer at bedtime
Boston Police report arresting a Roxbury man on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after officers patrolling Dudley Street asked a young woman why she was running down the street, crying.
Police say Victor Ortiz, 51, of 6 Greenville St., grew outraged when he discovered his children were not only not in bed, they were still on the computer; he got a knife and attacked his 18-year-old daughter - who then fled before he could inflict serious harm.
When officers went to investigate, police say they found Ortiz barricaded behind furniture in his bedroom:
Officers were able to force their way into the room and encountered the suspect. The suspect was aggressive towards officers and took a "fighting stance" with a clinched fist. Officers were able to subdue the suspect and take him into custody.
Innocent, etc.
