When will criminals learn you can't rely on cabs in a getaway?

Last week it was the alleged bank robber hailing a cab as part of his escape plan. Today, Boston Police report nabbing a would-be cat burglar who tried the same thing after a Back Bay man chased him out of his 199 Beacon St. building around 11 a.m. Might have worked, except:
The taxi driver informed officers that the suspect jumped into his cab and stated, "Just go". The driver went on to state that he already had a fare in the backseat at the time. The driver exited his vehicle for the suspect entering his cab alarmed him.
John Maloney, 54, of Brookline, was charged with breaking and entering a dwelling house during the day.
Innocent, etc.
