Alleged criminalettes arrested in Roxbury

Boston Police report arresting two teens, aged 14 and 15, on charges they jumped a girl from behind around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and then held her down while they and a third guy went through her pockets and stole her cell phone, at Waumbeck and Crawford streets.

The victim then told officers that the suspects fled into the Crawford St. playground after robbing her. The victim then went on to tell officers that she recognized one of the suspects and he often hangs out at the playground on Crawford Street.

Around 7 p.m., officers took the victim to the park, where she pointed out two of the three guys. On being arrested, police say, one of the two ratted out the other one, pointing at him and telling officers he was the actual robber.

Both were charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery on a person under 14.
