Police: Cape men smash bottle on guy's head, then stab him in State Street traffic tiff
Boston Police report arresting two Buzzards Bay residents after they allegedly decided to take a piece out of a guy who objected to them honking their horn at him as he helped a friend cross State Street around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday:
According to the victims, they were helping a friend, who was on crutches, cross the street when the fight began. The victims say, as they were crossing the street, the suspects, who were in a car, began beeping their horn. Words were exchanged and, soon, the verbal altercation led to a physical one.
One of the men smashed a bottle on the guy's head, while the other stabbed him, police say, adding the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Michael Grillo and Rafael Varela, both 28 and both from Buzzards Bay, are charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
