Police: Black guy, white guy beat up Hispanic guy in East Boston park

District A-7 reports a Hispanic man got beat up Thursday afternoon at a basketball court near the airport:
The victim stated suspect # 1, a black non-Hispanic male, approached and asked him "are you ms-13"; the victim replied "I'm not MS-13". The victim stated that suspect # 2, a white non-Hispanic male, punched him twice in the head. The victim refused medical aid. The victim stated after the incident both suspects left the park on foot toward Central Sq.

For those who thankfully don't need to keep up on this topic, MS-13 is a gang which seems to have originated in El Salvadoran immigrants to L.A., but whose membership is now likely to include other Central American nationalities.

The first blank is "around here".
Regarding the "wasn't," I couldn't tell whether it means that they are indifferent to someone who was their victim because that person isn't one of them. I suppose it could also mean they were disclaiming something because it's not something they do or was not in a manner consistent with their code, though that seems less likely to me.

The state police barracks at the airport just moved closer to the neighborhood. I can't wait until one of these blade carrying MS-13 types tries to carve someone up and a state trooper toting an MP-5 happens to be passing by. With any luck the gang-bangers will get lit up.
