Man arrested in shooting of anti-violence worker

Domenic Hall, 25, will be arraigned today on charges he shot at a street worker on Hammond Street on the evening of Aug. 21.

The Globe reports Hall shot the man, an employee of the Boston Community Centers' Streetworkers Program, which works with gang members and their families. The victim was rushed to nearby Boston Medical Center and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Hall will be charged with with assault with intent to murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was picked up yesterday in Mattapan by Boston Police and US Marshals.

According to the Suffolk County DA's office, which adds the victim was not the intended target.
