Another teen gunned down in Dorchester

Boston Police report the victim, in his late teens, was found shot at 25 Glenarm St. around 10:45 p.m. on Monday and was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he died.

They responded to the incident and the station is in Mattapan and the BPD typically identifies a location by the station (I've seen them refer to the Back Bay Hilton as being in the South End) and the media often follow suit. In this case, the BPD report doesn't say the address is in Mattapan, just that the B-3 station is in Mattapan.
But I stand to be corrected; what I don't know about Boston neighborhood lines could fill a book or two. Look at the map below and let me know.
More important, whatever the neighborhood, somebody is dead.

It's the Globe that needs to be corrected, not UHub. It's a shame that the Newspaper of Record in Boston doesnt give a damn about the different districts of the city.
There's no hard and fast line between Dot and Mattapan, but Morton St is generally accepted as a northern boundary.

There is a hard and fast line between Dorchester and Roxbury. They were separate towns up to 1870. Take a trip down to Boston Land Court and look up the plans. BTW, Franklin Park is in West Roxbury.

1870 was a long time ago. Franklin Park certainly isn't in West Roxbury now - the Town of West Roxbury hasn't existed since 1873.
