Cops tried to take a bite out of crime but the crime bit back
Boston Police report an argument between two women ended with three cops - and one of the women - bitten by a pit bull and the dog's owner under arrest.
Police say that officers responded to 433 Dudley St. shortly after midnight today to find two women yelling at each other. A man emerged from an apartment and began pushing one of the women. When officers attempted to arrest him, he retreated into the apartment. Officers followed only to be set upon by the man's pit bull, police said.
In the ensuing melee, the dog took a bite out of three officers and one of the women. Two of the cops were taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment of "various puncture wounds."
Courtney Holland, 45, of Roxbury, was charged with assault and battery and resisting arrest.
Innocent, etc.
