Never punch a woman who has a baseball bat

Boston Police report charging both parties in a knockdown, drag-out fight over $10 one owed the other.

Police couldn't figure out who started the fight. Paula Moore, of 107 Brunswick St., told police that James Cobb, 53, of Brunswick, NC, began punching and kicking her when she told him she didn't have the $10 she owed him and that she managed to get a baseball bat and start whacking him with it. But Cobb told police that while, yes, he went to collect his debt, Moore began whaling on him with the bat first, which is why he had to start punching her in self defense.

Cobb was arrested on charges of assault and battery for means of collecting a debt and assault and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot); Moore will be summoned to court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (baseball bat).
