Police: Three use fake gun in botched armed home invasion
Boston Police report arresting three men following an attempted home invasion at 9 Carson St. in Dorchester yesterday afternoon:
The victim reported to officers that three black males had just forced their way into her apartment, assaulted her and threatened her and her husband with a gun. The victim elaborated by telling officers that she was coming home and was in the process of opening her door when she was confronted by two suspects one of whom stuck his foot in the doorway preventing her from closing the door. The suspect continually asked for an individual while she continued to try and close the door. During this exchange, the victim reported that a third black male appeared from the hallway, charged the door and assaulted the victim knocking her to the ground. The suspects then forcibly entered her apartment. According to the female suspect and her husband, he came out wielding a bat upon hearing the commotion to confront the suspects when one them pulled up his shirt and displayed a firearm. The male victim then ran back in the bedroom and called the police. The suspects, upon hearing the victim calling the police, fled the apartment and were observed getting in a car that the victim was able to get the registration.
Garth French, 28, of Dorchester, Jason Clarke, 27, of Dorchester and Jerry A. Green, 23, of Hyde Park were all arrested and charged with armed home invasion and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Police say a gun matching the description given by the victims was found and determined to be a replica.
