East Boston man slams door on would-be muggers, so they bust the door down

District A-7 reports a Decatur Road man realized he was being followed home from the liquor store shortly after midnight on Monday and that when he got home and the two men demanded money, he slammed and locked his door.

His pursuers were not deterred, police say:

The suspects then kicked the door causing it to break in half and rip out from the jamb. The victim gave the suspects $100.00 cash and his cell phone. The suspects then fled the scene.

Police say the victim was only able to describe the two as white Hispanic males in their 20s, one wearing a green cap, the other a black cap.
