Alleged Neanderthal charged with dragging woman down Comm. Ave. by her hair

Reyes-FabianWalter Reyes-Fabian, 25, was arraigned yesterday on charges he grabbed a woman by the neck, then started dragging her down the street for no apparent reason on the morning of Oct. 10.

At his arraignment in Brighton District Court, Reyes-Fabian, of Allston, was ordered held in lieu of $7,500 on charges of kidnapping, assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

According to the DA's office, the woman said she was walking down the street near 1308 Comm. Ave. around 9:30 a.m. when Reyes-Fabian, whom she does not know, "grabbed her by the neck and started choking her and pulling her hair." Nearby residents called police when they heard her screams, the DA's office says, adding, "officers who responded to the scene observed the defendant dragging an adult woman down the street by her neck and hair as she flailed her arms in an attempt to fend off her assailant."

Prosecutors say that when he spotted the officers, Reyes-Fabian ran into the vestibule of a nearby building: "When officers approached him, he allegedly waved his arms at them, screamed loudly, and struggled against efforts to handcuff him."

Innocent, etc.

Tsk Tsk Adam

[tongue in cheek] Aren't you being just a tad speciesist? I mean, really Adam ... if anything, it is the Cro Magnons who have a long and storied history of violent gender relations. For all we know, cro magnons attributed violence to the Neanderthal, but it was all stereotype and projection![/tongue in cheek]
