The large knife lying at the man's feet was a tip off
District A-7 reports a man walking on Meridian Street by London Street shortly before midnight on Wednesday was held up by a man with a large knife. But the victim managed to get away and flee into a nearby Walgreen's - while his attacker ran into a nearby restaurant.
When officers arrived on scene, they took the victim into the restaurant with them to look for the mugger - whom they found calmly sitting at a table as if he were there for a late snack. The victim promptly IDed him, however. Plus:
The officers recovered a large knife at the suspects feet that he had attempted to discard.
Fredi Noe Figueroa, 26, of Lexington Street in East Boston was charged with intent to rob while armed, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and unlawfully carrying a dangerous weapon.
Innocent, etc.

Glad to hear
...the victim's $200 in cash, cell phone and gold chain are safe.
Maybe the fact that I only ever had one of those three things on my person was the reason I managed to escape 2 years living in Eastie mugging-free.
But did you ever
...get your head punched?
