Stabbing on Washington Street in Roslindale

Boston Police tweet a person who managed to get himself to Faulkner Hospital told officers he was stabbed at Washington Street and Durnell Avenue in Roslindale tonight.

Damn - I lived a block away.
Damn - I lived a block away. Nothing great about the neighborhood, but no one got stabbed that I remember. My landlord sold the house and left just in time.

I live a block from there,
I live a block from there, too, and think it's a fine neighborhood. It isn't walled off, though, so I don't find it surprising or odd that an occasional violent act takes place. It all goes with the many good things about living in an urban neighborhood.
My wife and I have taken many evening strolls...
...in that area -- and never have had any sort of problem (or felt that any sort of problems was likely).
And I walk around there
While waiting for my food at Roslindale's best Chinese takeout place. And have never felt like I should stop bringing my camera with me.
Would that Chinese....

i also live in the neighborhood and find it very safe.
