Boston Police report a senior citizen who'd just taken money out of a Bank of America ATM at 221 Mass. Ave. had some guy walk up behind him and grab his cash.
Adam Sawallich, 24, of Boston, was arrested yesterday on Washington Street on a charge of unarmed robbery on a person over 65. He was picked up with a friend who matched the description of another man the victim saw running away, but who was not charged yesterday.
Innocent, etc.

to execute those who commit crimes against the elderly doesn't sound stupid now, huh? What if that was your father or grandfather?
And ...

What if your son or daughter or other beloved relative was framed by an aggressive DA and paid jailhouse witness to make sure they were killed for something they didn't do?
What was that about a high profile case where a little girl was shot and a guy who didn't do it was put away? Oh yeah, at least he's out now ... not as dead as you would have him be for his "crime".
Funny how the biggest critics of big brother government suddenly think that government is infallible when it comes to killing people.
The difference

The perp here was at an ATM and presumably is on camera. The shooting of the little girl was likely not videotaped.
Even if the camera didn't catch him, you can confiscate the robber's cash, and check the serial numbers against the money stocked in the ATM, right? Seems open and shut to me.
The lesson, as always, is to videotape everything. Camera phones will turn out to be the most revolutionary invention of the 21st century.

what? this isn't like the rape of an old lady in allston? It doesn't sound like age caused any problems for the guy being robbed, didn't get injured physically from being shoved or anything. Your post just sounds ageist instead.
It's a legal thing, too

Look at what the guy is charged with - the fact that his victim is over 65 makes a difference.
