When the hot coffee didn't work, he brought out the brass knuckles

Boston Police report a suburbanite rang in the New Year by getting into an argument with three guys on Washington Street in Brighton, throwing hot coffee in the face of two of them and then attempting to continue the discussion with a set of brass knuckles he had in his pocket.

Unfortunately for him, they begged to differ with his points and held him down on the ground until a passing cop spotted them.

Alan Patrick Mccarthy, 21, of Medway, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, assault by means of a dangerous weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
