Not all teens like to sleep in: Police charge JP kid with failed purse-snatching at 6:10 a.m.

Boston Police report a Jamaica Plain teen was arrested early yesterday after he allegedly tried but failed to steal a woman's purse near Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Police say Jean Carlos Tirado, 18, was arrested around 6:10 a.m. after a Brigham and Women's Hospital employee reported an attempted mugging on Vining Street that failed when she fought the guy over the purse; he fled when she started screaming.

Police say they found Tirado near Wait Street and Huntington Avenue and that the victim IDed him. He was then charged with unarmed robbery.

Innocent, etc.
