Teens charged with shooting up Blue Hill Avenue to intimidate somebody
Boston Police report arresting two Roxbury teens on charges they fired guns into a a restaurant and car near
Blue Hill Avenue and Deering Road in Mattapan around 5 p.m. yesterday.
Police say officers on patrol on Blue Hill Avenue spotted a guy firing a gun toward Deering Road - in the company of four other guys. When officers approached, the five fled - but one took time to pick up items on the street - police say.
Officers recovered bullet fragments from inside a restaurant and a bullet hole in the windshield of a car parked on Deering, police say, adding nobody turned up injured. As police continued to look for the shooter - and obtained a warrrant - Jerrod Lee, 17, of Roxbury, turned himself into police at District B-3.
Lee was arrested and charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon (handgun), discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling house, witness intimidation, intentionally making false statements, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition. Bobby Fullard, 18, also of Roxbury, was arrested on the same charges.
