Shooting in Hyde Park

Boston Police tweet somebody was shot tonight at Parker Street and Wood Avenue. Police say his condition is unknown, but he was able to get to a local hospital on his own. It's the second shooting on Wood Avenue in the past two months - on Feb. 14, somebody had a bullet graze his head at Wood Avenue and River Street.

District E-18 provides more details. A man reported he was walking north on Wood Avenue from River Street and took a left onto Frazer, where he saw "a small group of males" heading in the opposite direction:

The victim then stated that he heard shots. The victim began to run and observed a heavyset male firing in his direction. The victim then realized he had been struck and contacted an acquaintance to bring him to the hospital. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
