Man stabbed outside Back Bay drug store dies

Boston Police report a man stabbed outside the Walgreens at 841 Boylston Street near midnight died two hours later at Boston Medical Center.
The man, whose name was not released, is Boston's 18th murder victim this year.

18th *homicide* victim. "Murder" is a legal term denoting a wrongful, premeditated killing. This could be, for example, manslaughter or justifiable homicide. Barring adjudication, and according to the alleged facts in the police write-up, there is no reason to call it "murder" at this point, and BPD did not.
