Woman shot in hip in Mattapan

District E-18 reports a woman heard gunfire around 2:30 a.m., Sunday, at Weybosset Road, then realized she'd been hit.

The woman, in a car with some friends, got herself to Carney Hospital and will survive, police said.

Police said they found ballistic evidence on Greenfield Road at Weybosset and behind 80 Weybosset.

The shooting took place in a deadly triangle along the Mattapan/Hyde Park line.
