Police say woman pleased as can be to punch pregnant woman in the head in Forest Hills fare-gate fight

Channel 7 reports on a Monday incident at the Orange Line station, involving a pregnant woman trying to exit the station in the face of a woman who objected to her existence:

"[The alleged puncher] did state to the officers that she did do it, and she wished she had done more, and she was proud she did it," said Lt. Michael Shea of the MBTA Police.

Here's hoping that Kara Webb gets thrown in the slammer...for a long time. That's where she belongs.

Unfortunately, having no class and consideration for other passengers is nothing new on the MBTA. Lechmere Station is even worse because of the narrow platform and the swarms of people coming in from Cambridgeside and trying to squeeze in on the first trolley that shows up. On weekdays, I take the shuttle to North Station - well worth the $1 fare - and on the weekends, I walk to Community College or take the Cambridgeside shuttle to Kendall/MIT (actually, you can also walk to Kendall/MIT via the Museum of Science).

Thankfully, the pregnant woman will be OK with her child, but that was certainly a zero-class, me-first move on the part of the puncher.
