You dont need an intern. when they are born instead of smacking their bottoms like you see in the old movies. Stamp an expiration date. they wear the pants so low the police can just look under the shirt. The police, the funeral directers ect. can plan their manpower acordingly. GM can develop a Hybird ambulance hearse. To save fuel. Sounds disrespectful. In africa in some countries they mutilate certain parts of young girls anatomy. The young woman are the ones who need to be taught and given the attention to. The Queen bee is the most important thing in the hive everyone else is a worker or a drone. You incarserate the workers and the drones. and the queen bee flys away and just lays more eggs. Spoken from a person of color. Young women keep your leggs and your mouth shut. and your minds open. thats the answer to the problem.

Adam, would you consider removing it?

and you are the one to make that determination? Mister big man?
I thought her post was interesting.

It has a hell of a lot more social value than endless discussions of people taking pictures of buildings, people catching bus drivers with cell phones in their pockets, how cops are evil, if you ride a bike you are better than everyone else, how smart Swirly thinks she is and how dumb everyone knows Kaz is.
She/he is expressing genuine outrage and has actual perspective and experience to back up her/his post. It has enormous social value.

Or spouting 'poetic' nonsense that is the crutch of the drug-impaired and the illiterate. "It sounds so artsy and REAL! Maybe you can get a record deal!"

Adam, could you consider disabling anonymous commenting again?

Let people post what they want...it's an open forum open to post Universal Hub's readers opinions and however they want to vent no matter how f'ed up, inferior or inappropraite you soapbox riders think it is. I personally wasn't offended by it. UH...Don't remove it...it's how one of your readers feels whether it rubs Swirlygirl or whoever the wrong way...as said previous...some people found it interesting.

But that doesn't mean it should be shitcanned. If that were the case, I'd be mighty lonely on these boards :-)

Obviously, whoever wrote it feels strongly, and he/she worked fairly hard on the imagery. Debate it, if you want, but why censor it? If you don't care for it, and don't want to debate it, just ignore it.

(Although, as I've said many times in the past, I have more respect for ANYONE who actually registers and goes by a steady handle that can be readily identified. Perhaps the author might think about taking that step?)

JPeter, with anonymous posting turned off, people can still post whatever they want. They just have to register first.

We just prefer not to turn into the Herald with spouting by comment trolls who like lobbing grenades more than they like rational discourse.

As Kelly notes, get an account and everything you write goes up right away (I only very rarely have had to pull down a post from somebody with an account; must be something about signing up for one that instills a sense of responsibility).

Anonymous comments, even those with a name attached, go into a queue. Spam, naturally, never goes up. Ditto for one-line ad-hoc attacks or gratuitous name calling (call me a fuckwit all you want, but if you don't back that up with some reasoning, your comment is outta here). I try to be liberal (in the generic sense, not the political sense) with the rest, but stuff that looks like sock puppetry or is just too blatantly racist/stupid/infantile gets fed into the delete-o-tron. Am I perfect at it? Hardly. But I'm going to try to keep this place from becoming an experiment in Gresham's Law.

Another advantage to an account is that you can post comments that probably wouldn't be approved, were you to try to post them without an account.

I can't tell you the number of times I've tried to tell some snippy poster with an account of my very special relationship with their mom, yet the filter persistently keeps this information from them.

have become contradictory for the sake of contradiction and provocative for the sake of provocation or off-topic for the sake of moving the thread off topic.

I wonder if the incentive Adam creates by delaying the posting of Anon comments could be ramped up a bit so that these comments don't become a part of the conversation as quickly and therefor do not derail the more earnest conversation.

approach to gang gun violence is working. It may be, it may not be. He should consider presenting the evidence sooner rather than later.
