Man critically wounded in shooting at Roxbury barbershop
By adamg on Fri, 09/10/2010 - 8:25pm
UPDATE: Man arrested, but not for the shooting.
Boston Police tweet somebody was shot at 1029 Tremont St. shortly after 7 p.m. tonight, and that the homicide unit is now investigating, which means the victim was seriously wounded.
Beth Freeman reports she heard three shots. Police arrived "within seconds" and then chased a man down Sussex Street, she said.

Upon arriving home last night
Upon arriving home last night around 7:45PM, we had to get permission to drive the wrong way up Warwick Street in order to park in front of our house (on Warwick.) Both Sussex and Greenwich Streets were blocked by the police. I spoke with an officer guarding a shell casing in front of the alley at Sussex and Warwick Street and was told that someone was shot in the eye and he thought that they had at least one suspect in custody - no confirmation of any details though. The crime scene unit finally finished their investigation around 10-10:30PM last night - at least that is when all of the vehicles and whatnot left the scene.
In any case, I appreciate Shotspotter being in our neighborhood and believe that is why there was such a quick response from the BPD!
Update: One arrested
But police are looking for more suspects.
