Two shot in Dorchester, one dies

Boston Police report two men, both 21, were shot around 7:30 p.m. at 27 Cameron St.

One was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at Boston Medical Center; the other is expected to survive.

The dead man is Dorchester's 26th murder victim this year (maps).

I wish we'd get an update from Commissioner Davis on how his strategy for reducing gun violence by gang members is working, with data preferably.

Boston Police report the murder victim was Curtis Jarvis, 21, of Dorchester.
