Boston Police tweet a black woman in a beige hoody tried but failed to hold up the Bank of America branch at 1440 Dorchester Ave. early this afternoon.

Close proximity to the other incident on Dot Ave today. Either related in some way or very bizarre to have both occur so close to each other.

I lived in Dorchester for 37 years, and it was an odd morning when I listened to the news and DIDN'T hear about a violent crime in my town. All kidding aside, though, I'd be willing to lay dollars to donuts that these two were somehow connected.

(Now that I think about it, that phrase is probably very outdated. How much do donuts go for these days? You might be smarter to lay donuts for dollars.)
