I wonder if the residents will be out in mass to admonish the criminal behavior from its own sons, brothers and neighbors. Sadly I doubt it will occur. Why place blame within its own when you can blame society and the police. Jhamal Crawford might gain credibility as a community leader if he organized such a rally. Then again, much like Chuck Turner, he knows where his bread and butter is. Sad.

There were rallies, vigils, etc., after the Mattapan murders and the double shooting that left one dead in Egleston. One can be outraged by both murders and what one saw on a videotape of one particular arrest.

.....outraged by the arrest at RCC?

At this point, to be honest, no, I'm not. Yes, it looks awful, but couple the fact that the kid was already wanted for A&B with a dangerous weapon and the explanations here and it sounds like justified use of force to subdue him.

But I can certainly understand why people would be outraged, and we don't yet know what the DA's investigation will say.

This sheds light on one of the unfortunate consequences of the YouTube age--immediate reactions rooted in emotions rather than a careful consideration of the underlying facts and details. Similarly, with the recent spate of killings, there's been a big focus on community vigils and lectures from preachers--which is all nice and dandy on the surface, but really, what's going on beneath the surface? Do community members dare tread into that territory?
