Pair arrested for armed holdups in Roslindale last night

Boston Police report arresting a man and a woman on charges they held up a Dunkin' Donuts and a convenience store in Roslindale - and that they might have been getting ready to stick up a drug store when officers arrived.

Police say Taylor Harrington, 25, of Boston, walked into the Dunkin' Donuts at 4175 Washington St. around 9:20 p.m., went behind the counter, flashed a knife and demanded money.

Police say that after taking money out of the cash register, he fled, only to show up around 10 p.m. at Home Market, 165 Belgrade Ave., this time accompanied by Briannah Newsom, 22, of Quincy. As she watched, police say, Harrington pulled the walk-behind-the-counter stunt again.

Not long after, police say, the CVS at 4600 Washington St., in Roslindale called to report "two suspicious-looking people." Officers arrived and detained the two until victims from the earlier incidents could be brought to the scene - where they identified the two.

Both were scheduled for arraignment today in West Roxbury District Court.

Innocent, etc.
