Police: Teen uses fake gun for armed holdup in Mattapan

Boston Police report officers on routine patrol interrupted a three-on-one armed holdup at River and Massoit streets yesterday:

Officers observed one of the suspects, later identified as Marcus Agee, lift up his shirt to expose what officers believed to be the butt of a firearm. Upon seeing this, officers promptly approached the suspect. As officers were approaching the suspect, officers observed the suspect taking items, including a wallet, off the victim.

When confronted by officers, the suspect stated, "Here. Give him his stuff back."

On a pat frisk, police say, officers recovered what turned out to be a replica gun.

Agee, 17, was charged with armed robbery.

Innocent, etc.

There is no such thing as routine patrol

There is no such thing as routine patrol. It's 99% boredom, 1% sheer terror.

Maybe they were out patrolling routes. Anywhoo, I"m glad they stopped a crime in progress. bravo.
