Yet another

a-hole on a bike.

So the one whose story

So the one whose story matches his wounds is the a-hole? and the one who seems to have lied to the police is an upstanding citizen?

Someone almost hits me with a car, I'm gonna probably yell an obscenity, no matter what vehicle I'm in, then if that guy gets out of his car and punches me, I'm going to fight back.

Yet another d bag..driving a

Yet another d bag..driving a suv

As awful as this is, every

As awful as this is, every time I am nearly run down by a bicyclist crossing in a CROSSWALK when I have a WALK SIGNAL and cars have a RED LIGHT I have thought about a similar action...though I would have used the gel seat.

Isn't that why bikers wear those poof helmets?

you are by and far the

you are by and far the toughest person i've ever encountered....

Ladies and gentlemen, in this

Ladies and gentlemen, in this corner weighing 180 pounds and riding a bike, the biggest asshole in the world. And in this corner, driving a jeep, and weighing 180 pounds, the second biggest asshole in the world.

Jeep, huh?

Is it just me, or are a disproportionate number of the drivers who actually get mad enough at bikers to put down the milkshake and take a swing at them Jeep and SUV drivers?

Don't know . . .

. . . but its the rare road rage incident that lasts 1 1/2 hours.

The victim in question

Is a friend of mine and long time colleague. He's a funny guy who always has a good story to tell...but sometimes has a proclivity for living by the sword, and loves to hold grudges.

Has he ever taken a photo of

Has he ever taken a photo of an LNG tanker?

This happens a dozen times a week to me

I drive in Boston. I also bike to work. By far, the drivers I encounter on my bike are far worse than most of the cyclists (but don't think you're free from any blame cyclists). Drivers don't recognize that they're cutting bikers off when they merge in to traffic. I yell and flip off drivers for this far too often. By getting out of the car, period, means the driver escalated the situation, regardless of who did what to who. As for stealing the phone, why would he steal it and leave the phone at his place of work? Getting threatening texts to family members is easy enough a claim to investigate. Same with being hit by a bike lock. The fact that the driver followed and jumped the cyclist shows that the driver is clearly unwell and should not be driving, and should serve some kind of jail time. I'm sure the biker is guilty of plenty, but seriously, this driver is nuts.

I agree;

No matter what kind of obscenities that the bicyclist yelled at the driver of the car who cut him off, or what kind of obscene gestures the cyclist might've made at the driver, the driver of the automobile should be tried for and charged with assault, possibly jailed for awhile, and have his/her driver's license suspended for a period of time. No matter how badly a cyclist may behave (no, cyclists aren't always blameless, either), in this kind of situation, the driver of the car is the one responsible, for the cyclist is the more vulnerable person in this situation.
