Police: Guns pulled in traffic disputes in Fenway, Dorchester
Boston Police report a man who got out of his car at a red light in the Fenway yesterday afternoon to complain to the guy who cut him off had to beat a hasty retreat when the guy pulled out a gun.
A little more than two hours later, police report, a similar incident happened in Dorchester.
In the Fenway case, police arrested the alleged gun puller after he was spotted driving his van from the incident at Boylston and Ipswich streets to Harvard Vanguard around 2:45 p.m. Brian Rodrigues, 23, of Wakefield, was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
In the Dorchester case, a man reported he was cut off at 1269 Massachusetts Ave. around 5 p.m. by "a bright red low-rider type vehicle with a loud muffler and after market rims" and that after he exchanged words with the driver, a passenger "pointed a black semi-automatic handgun" at him.
The low rider was last seen traveling on Columbia toward Franklin Park; the passenger was described as a black male, about 24, wearing a large silver-colored chain.
