That's the early Vegas over/under line on how many posts this thread will contain bickering about exactly where the JP/Roxbury line is located and which neighborhood this stabbing actually occurred in.

I'm betting under, but only because it's late Sunday night.

I'm going with near 0, just because of your comment, whoever does decide to start the bickering will be the rotten egg.

Good point

I forgot about the Hawthorne Effect. Next time there's a murder attempt in a cartographically gray area, I'll keep quiet.

The stabbing occurred in

The stabbing occurred in Jamaica Plain. Anything else you need to know? I understand Mardi Gras occurs in New Orleans,as well.

Looks like this happened in a side parking lot of JP Stop & Shop

based on your map and my recollection of how that area is laid out. I do wonder why she'd walk all the way to Roxbury Crossing (a pretty long walk if you've just been stabbed) instead of right into the supermarket where someone could immediately help her. If the injuries had been more serious that decision could have made the difference between life and death.

JP or Rox

That location puts in in NEITHER place. JP only seems to claim Jackson Square when it wants to hype diversity (notice how even Hyde Square ignored it during the Whole Foods debate) and Roxbury seems to associate itself with the other side of the tracks when necessary (like when it's time to claim MassArt or the MFA).

Jackson Square and Bromley Heath, like Mission Hill, is stuck in the middle of two neighborhoods that couldn't care less about it.
