Allston man stomped in robbery attempt

The Daily Free Press reports a man was jumped from behind, pushed to the ground and then kicked by two other men who demanded his money, but who then fled when surprised by a taxi arriving at the scene, around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Malvern and Ashford streets.

The victim, 46, was taken to St. Elizabeth's for treatment.
