Police: Teen got ready for Roxbury party by tying loaded gun around his neck
Unfortunately for Lloyd Borgella, 17, a plainclothes police officer was watching him the whole time.
Police report the cop was in an unmarked car outside an allegedly illegal house party at Julian and Judson streets in Roxbury, looking for trouble around 1:10 a.m. when a car pulled up opposite him. The passenger got out and went into the party while Borgella, 17, stayed in the car:
The officer observed the driver moving something in his lap while still in the car all the while periodically looking up and down the street and directing his gaze back to his lap. The officer then observed the driver place a cord/rope/string around his neck, secure something else to the cord and place it inside his sweatshirt. The driver then got out of the car and stood beside the door of the car at which point the officer noticed a rigid object protruding from the his back. At this point, the male operator reached toward his back and attempted to lay the rigid item flat on his back.
Police say Borgella was packing a loaded .357 handgun. He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm on a public way and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Innocent, etc.

Great Job BPD
I think so but I sure Alan Dersowitz and the members of Occupy the Hood would disagree which is their constitutional right to be wrong
Total strawman
Why is it that whenever someone does something illegal, the immediate rallying cry of the Super Justice League and Conserva-cronies is "I bet some bleeding heart liberal hates these cops and loves the bad guy"?
This looks like sound police work that caught a dangerous idiot. Why would liberals be against that? Because they're against police brutality, victim blaming, and sentencing the innocent to death? It just doesn't follow.
What innocent person has been
What innocent person has been executed or sentenced to death as a result of BPD arrests?
Victoria Snelgrove comes to mind
Her case is famous; there are probably others less well-known.
"crickets"

"Yeah, but what other case"...
She wasn't arrested. The cop
She wasn't arrested. The cop was trying to shoot somebody else with a pepper ball and struck her in the eye.
Another strawman
I didn't say any innocent people have been executed as a result of BPD arrests.
I don't like the Occupiers or the cops
Hey anon, I think the Occupiers are (mostly but not all) a bunch of commies and I still disagree with your "great job BPD" exclamation.
There is nothing inherently evil about carrying a gun. There is something inherently evil about kidnapping and working to enslave a 17-year-old because he happened to have a gun on his person on a night out.
I had a gun in my car for the entire last half of my senior year of high school (Class of '99!), and--shockingly!--I never shot anyone, threatened anyone, or even showed it to anyone. I just felt safer, knowing that I had the means to defend myself. People shouldn't be denied the means for security just because they are young, members of an ethnic minority, or poor.
Commies!
I was waiting for someone to start calling the occupiers "commies", along with the "dirty hippies" monicker. These cliches must go. When was the last time there was a "commie"? Hippies, let alone "dirty" ones, have been gone for 40 years. The occupiers may be a mixture of naieve trust fund protesters and opportunist homeless people, but they are not "commies" or "hippies". Come up with some current, appropriate descriptions, will you? Its 2011. If anyone is a hippie or former hippie, it is probably members of the gereatric Tea Party, who were the right age to have been so at one point. Except now, instead of taking the brown acid they take the blue Viagra. (Joke cortesy of Bill Maher).

It's illegal
To have a unregistered gun in this state. It's even a bigger problem when that gun has it's serial numbers removed.
Sorry, but if you're worried about the "communists" peacefully protesting in a park, and think this poor old fellow is worthy of our sympathy; something is seriously fucked up with you.
Get help Dick. Trolling from mom's basement is not good for long term health.
It is not illegal to have an
It is not illegal to have an unregistered gun in this state. It is illegal to have a gun without an FID card or License to Carry. May seem like a small difference, but it really is not. The state only keeps track of who has qualified to carry a firearm, not which ones they own.

"May seem like a small difference, but it really is not"
Why is it not a small difference?
Julian Street.
I sold 30 Julian Street a few times. I was solicited by a prostitute while hosting an open house. It's quite a neighborhood.
I guess you're not the only one
To make money from that house.
