The flattering mugger of South Boston

Boston Police report a woman was robbed around 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Old Colony Avenue and Preble Street:

Victim reported that she was approached by a [black male] 20 years long braided / dread lock hair wearing a black puffy jacket baseball hat and jeans who stated "Damn you look good. Give me the phone or I'll shoot you.” Suspect had one hand in his pocket and the victim believed he was holding a gun.

The man took the woman's iPhone, then ran into the Old Harbor development, police say.
